This policy explains what information Imperium Finalis uses, where it is kept, and who can see it. In short: the game keeps your saves and settings on your own computer, collects no analytics, shows no ads and sells nothing inside the game. The only time information leaves your computer is when you play online multiplayer, which runs through the Photon service.
The game stores the following files on your computer only. We never receive them.
| What | Where (Windows) |
|---|---|
| Saved games | %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Imperium Finalis\Imperium Finalis\Saves\ |
| Settings, key bindings, unlocks and achievements | Windows registry (Unity PlayerPrefs) under the game's name |
Log files (Player.log, Player-prev.log) | %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Imperium Finalis\Imperium Finalis\ |
| Mods you install | The Mods folder next to the game |
Log files record what the game was doing, to help find bugs. They can include file paths that contain your Windows user name. They stay on your computer unless you choose to send them to us with a bug report.
Online battles against other players use Photon PUN, a networking service run by Exit Games GmbH. When you play online:
Photon handles this information under its own privacy policy: https://www.photonengine.com/privacy. If you never play online multiplayer, the game makes no connection to Photon.
If you bought the game on Steam, Valve handles your account, purchase and Steam features (such as Steam Cloud saves and achievements) under Steam's own privacy policy: https://store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement/. If Steam Cloud is turned on, your saved games are copied to your Steam account by Steam.
If you send us a bug report, we receive only what you choose to include, such as your description, your email address and any log or save files you attach. We use it only to fix the problem and reply to you, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Because we hold no personal information about you, there is normally nothing for us to show, correct or delete. Your saves, settings and logs are on your own computer, and you can delete them at any time from the folders listed above. For information held by Photon or Steam, contact them through their privacy policies. If you have any questions, contact us at contact@imperiumfinalis.com.
If the game starts handling information differently, for example a new online feature, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
